Glen Ellyn, Ill. — The Glen Ellyn Public Library will begin a brief construction project on the first floor of the building in the first week of August. The library shared the information in a Facebook post this week.
The majority of the first phase of renovations will occur in library staff areas. The construction project will mean relocating some shelving and collections in the Youth Department. The North and South Meeting Rooms will also be for staff-only use through November.
The second phase of construction will add study rooms to the Youth Department and create a designated passport area. Also, construction crews will be replacing flooring in the lobby area of the library.
The Glen Ellyn Public Library noted that during this project, some items may be shifted or relocated. Guests should ask for assistance when looking for items that may have been moved to a different area.
