Glen Ellyn, Ill. — The Village of Glen Ellyn has released updates on the progress being made to the ADA sidewalk improvement project.
In early June, the Village announced that it would be making an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. The plan is to improve sidewalk accessibility around the Village. They sent a survey to residents for ADA feedback on where sidewalk improvements are needed.
Yesterday, the Village updated residents on the progress for this transition plan. The Village said that over 600 locations have been identified through the joint effort of the survey. Those locations will begin grinding repairs this summer and residents in those work areas have been notified of future construction.
The Village reshared the survey and encouraged residents to continue giving feedback for where ADA improvements can be made.
