Germantown, WI – Fire crews responded Thursday afternoon to a structure fire at the Brookside Meadows Mobile Home Park, where a single-family mobile home caught fire, according to the Germantown Fire Department.

The fire broke out around 1:45 p.m. on October 30, 2025, when dispatchers received reports of heavy black smoke coming from a trailer and possible explosions. Upon arrival, Battalion Chief Cary Rodriguez confirmed that one occupant was inside the home and had suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The person was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

According to officials, firefighters quickly deployed a hose line and entered the structure, finding the fire concentrated in the kitchen area. Crews contained the blaze within seven minutes, preventing it from spreading beyond the kitchen.

Mutual aid from nearby departments was initially requested but later canceled once the situation was under control. No firefighters were injured during the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation but does not appear suspicious, officials said.

Departments assisting or on standby included West Bend, Jackson, Merton, Menomonee Falls, Slinger, Hartford, and Pewaukee Fire, along with Washington County Dispatch.
