ATLANTA, Ga. – Mist hangs low over Peachtree Street and the Chattahoochee Valley this morning, softening headlights and creating a silvery haze over the city’s skyline. A cool 45°F start makes for a crisp commute, but sunshine will soon break through, clearing the fog and ushering in one of the most comfortable stretches of fall weather so far this November.

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, visibility may briefly dip below one mile in north and central Georgia valleys through sunrise. Drivers are urged to use low beams, reduce speed, and allow extra distance on I-75, I-85, and I-20. Conditions improve steadily through midmorning as high pressure strengthens over the Southeast, setting the stage for dry, sunny days and light breezes through midweek.

Tuesday and Wednesday look nearly perfect — sunshine, calm winds, and highs in the low to mid-70s. Mornings remain comfortably cool in the 40s, with just enough chill to hint that late fall is here. By Thursday and Friday, winds shift slightly from the southeast, drawing in mild air ahead of an approaching system. A few isolated showers could develop late Friday into Saturday, mainly across western and central Georgia.

For now, this is autumn’s sweet spot — bright, calm, and ideal for outdoor work, fall sports, or early holiday decorating. Longer-range models hint at a more unsettled pattern next week, with possible thunderstorms and cooler air filtering in just before Veterans Day.
