ATLANTA, Ga. – North Georgia is in for a stretch of postcard-perfect Fall weather as clear skies, warm afternoons, and crisp mornings continue through the week. The dry pattern brings some of the best outdoor conditions of the season, with highs near 80°F and no rain in sight until the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Tuesday and Wednesday will stay sunny with light north to northwest winds under 10 mph. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 50s, giving Atlanta its first run of cooler, comfortable sleeping weather since early October. Highs through Thursday hover in the low 80s — slightly above average but with low humidity and excellent visibility.
Travelers on I-75, I-20, and I-285 can expect ideal driving conditions across the metro area and into surrounding counties, including Cobb, DeKalb, and Gwinnett. Air quality remains good, and winds will stay light through midweek.
By Friday, a few clouds drift in as winds turn easterly, but temperatures stay mild with highs in the upper 70s. The next slight chance of rain arrives late Saturday, with only a few isolated showers possible as a weak system moves in from the west.
The warm, calm stretch offers perfect weather for fall festivals, tailgates, and park outings across North Georgia. Sunshine dominates through at least Friday before clouds and spotty weekend rain mark the only brief interruption.
