Atlanta, Georgia – Showers and scattered thunderstorms could disrupt weekend plans across Atlanta on Saturday morning, with gusty winds and a 30% chance of rain between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm window narrows to late Saturday morning with potential gusts up to 25 mph. Temperatures will climb to near 88°F, so while rain chances are limited, wind may still impact outdoor events and local travel—especially along I-75 and GA-400 corridors.

Sunday brings a 40% chance of additional showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. across the metro area. Highs will settle around 85°F, with partly sunny skies and west winds up to 10 mph.

By Monday, skies clear and temperatures spike back to 90°F, a return to early summer conditions before more rain threatens by midweek. Tuesday brings a slight chance of late-day showers (20%), increasing to 40% after 8 p.m. with potential thunderstorms overnight.

Drivers should remain alert Saturday morning and again Tuesday evening as scattered storms could reduce visibility and affect road conditions. Charge devices ahead of storms, secure outdoor furniture, and avoid unnecessary travel during peak rain hours.
