Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan will enjoy a stretch of dry, seasonable weather through midweek before a new system brings rain and cooler temperatures late in the week, according to the National Weather Service Gaylord.
Forecasters expect partly to mostly sunny skies today through Wednesday, with daytime highs ranging from the low 50s to upper 50s and overnight lows dipping into the 30s and low 40s. The pleasant conditions will hold through midweek before a change arrives Thursday.
By Thursday afternoon, rain chances will begin to spread northward across the region, eventually covering much of northern Lower and eastern Upper Michigan by Friday morning. Highs will cool into the upper 40s to low 50s, with nighttime lows in the mid-30s.
The NWS says the late-week rain will mark the start of a cooler pattern heading into the final days of October, with temperatures settling into the 40s and low 50s heading into the weekend.
Residents can expect ideal fall weather early this week, with bright skies and light winds before conditions turn damp and chilly later in the week.
