Gaylord, Michigan – A muggy and foggy night is settling across Northern Michigan, with steamy conditions continuing through Monday before storms and a cooling trend arrive.

According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, lingering showers will taper off this evening, but high humidity and patchy fog are expected overnight, especially in low-lying areas. Temperatures will remain warm, with lows only dipping to 61–69°F.

Sunday brings mostly sunny skies with highs between 82–92°F and oppressive humidity across much of the region, including Traverse City, Alpena, and Petoskey. Monday may reach even hotter highs between 84–94°F before a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms develops later in the day. Localized downpours or lightning may disrupt travel during the evening commute.
