Gaylord, MI – Drivers across Northern Michigan should be prepared for patchy fog during the overnight and early morning hours through midweek, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Gaylord.

According to the NWS forecast, temperatures will remain seasonable in the upper 60s to lower 70s, with only slight chances for showers through Thursday. Tuesday’s highs will range from 68 to 75 degrees, followed by 66 to 73 degrees on Wednesday and 66 to 72 degrees on Thursday.

Fog is expected to be most dense during the early morning commute hours, potentially reducing visibility on rural roads and highways. The NWS advises caution for motorists traveling during these periods, particularly in low-lying areas and near bodies of water.

While widespread heavy rain is not anticipated, the forecast suggests scattered showers could develop at times, especially Tuesday. Overall, conditions remain typical for early fall in Northern Michigan, with mild daytime temperatures and cooler, damp mornings.

Travelers and residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts and allow extra time for travel during foggy periods.
