Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan residents can expect another pleasant fall day Thursday with mostly sunny skies and highs ranging from the low to mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service in Gaylord.

While today’s weather remains calm and mild, changes are on the way as cooler air moves in for the weekend. Forecasters say temperatures will gradually fall, with highs near 50°F Friday and into the upper 40s by Saturday.

Light showers are possible near Lake Michigan Friday afternoon, lingering into Saturday morning before tapering off. By Sunday, skies are expected to be partly cloudy with just a stray shower possible, as highs remain in the upper 40s to low 50s.

The upcoming pattern marks the start of a chillier stretch for northern Michigan, typical for early November. Forecasters encourage residents to enjoy today’s sunshine before the cooler, damp conditions arrive.
