GAYLORD, Mich. β Northern Michigan will enjoy a brief stretch of calm, sunny fall weather before a wet pattern returns later this week, according to the National Weather Service in Gaylord.
After a mostly sunny Tuesday with highs near 59Β°F, clouds will increase overnight as a weak disturbance brings a 30% chance of light showers late tonight into Wednesday morning. Conditions improve again Wednesday afternoon, with sunshine returning and highs in the mid-50s.
A stronger system will arrive Thursday night, spreading widespread showers across northern Lower Michigan through Friday and into Saturday. Rain chances climb to 70% Thursday night and remain high through Saturday morning. Temperatures will hold steady, with highs in the low to mid-60s before cooler air filters in over the weekend.
While severe weather is not expected, periods of steady rain may affect travel along I-75 and local outdoor events across Otsego, Crawford, and Cheboygan Counties.
