Gary, IN – Man Found Shot to Death in Residence, Ruled Homicide

Gary, IN – A 24-year-old man was found dead late Wednesday in Gary.

According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, Seth Montgomery was identified by his family at the Lake County Morgue and Forensic Center. Authorities responded to Montgomery’s residence at 5032 Jefferson St. at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday. The forensic autopsy performed on Thursday revealed multiple gunshot wounds. The death was ruled a homicide.

The investigation involves the Gary Police Department, Lake County Sheriff’s Department CSI, Lake County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force, and Gary Fire Department EMS.
