Fugitive Arrested in Oswego by U.S. Marshals and Kendall County Sheriff’s Office

Oswego, IL – Fugitive Gerardo Zamores was apprehended in Oswego, Illinois, by members of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.

According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, on June 27, Zamores, a 25-year-old male from Montgomery, was taken into custody without incident. He was wanted on a warrant issued out of Kendall County for one count of child pornography (class X felony) and five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse (each a class 2 felony). Zamores was taken to the Kendall County Jail for processing and was subsequently released with pre-trial conditions following a court hearing.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is reminding community members to call Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999 to report any information regarding a fugitive’s whereabouts. Callers remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward if the information leads to the apprehension of a fugitive. Additionally, updates on fugitives can be found on the Kendall County Facebook page’s “Fugitive Fridays.”

The public is reminded that criminal defendants are presumed innocent until the government can prove its charges in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
