Louisville, KY – A frost advisory has been issued for portions of south-central Indiana and Kentucky, with temperatures expected to drop as low as 34°F overnight. The advisory is in effect from midnight EDT (11 p.m. CDT) until 9 a.m. EDT (8 a.m. CDT) Friday.

Counties under the advisory include Jefferson, Franklin, and Shelby in Kentucky, and Floyd and Harrison in Indiana. The National Weather Service warns that frost formation could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Residents should cover plants or bring them indoors to avoid potential damage.

The frost advisory will remain active throughout the early morning hours Friday. Cold temperatures are expected across the region, with gradual warming later in the day.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
