Memphis, TN – Chilly mornings are expected across the Mid-South through midweek, with low temperatures falling into the 30s and a few spots nearing the freezing mark Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Forecasters say Monday will bring the coldest start of the week, with temperatures between 32°F and 36°F across northern Mississippi, eastern Arkansas, and West Tennessee. Cities including Memphis, Batesville, and Covington could see early-morning frost before sunshine warms the region into the 50s by afternoon.

Cold mornings will persist through Wednesday, with lows remaining in the mid to upper 30s before gradually moderating later in the week. Dry weather and light winds are expected to continue, keeping skies mostly clear and allowing for the chilly overnight conditions.

Residents are advised to protect sensitive plants and outdoor plumbing where freezing temperatures are possible Monday morning.
