Mount Holly, NJ – A Frost Advisory is in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 2) for much of central and southern New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.

Temperatures are forecast to dip to around 34 degrees, leading to frost formation across Middlesex, Monmouth, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Ocean, and Atlantic Counties.

According to the NWS, sensitive plants and outdoor vegetation may be damaged or killed if left uncovered during the early morning hours. Homeowners are urged to cover plants or bring them indoors before midnight to prevent frost damage.

The advisory covers areas including New Brunswick, Freehold, Cherry Hill, Glassboro, Jackson, Hammonton, and Mount Holly. Calm winds and clear skies will allow for rapid cooling overnight, increasing frost potential through sunrise.

Sunday will feature mostly sunny skies with highs near 50 degrees, followed by another possible frost event early Monday morning.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated with the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service as the cold pattern continues into the start of the week.
