Denver, CO – A Frost Advisory has been issued for the Denver and Boulder metro areas from 10 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, as temperatures are forecast to fall into the low to mid-30s, bringing the first widespread frost of the season.

According to the National Weather Service in Denver, the advisory includes Boulder, Longmont, Denver, Lakewood, Aurora, Parker, and Highlands Ranch. Frost formation is expected overnight, with patchy freezing temperatures possible in the coldest northern suburbs, including areas around Longmont and north of Denver.

Officials warn that sensitive outdoor vegetation could be harmed or killed if left uncovered. Residents are encouraged to cover tender plants and disconnect outdoor hoses before temperatures dip.

The chill follows a stretch of mild fall weather, signaling a seasonal shift along the Front Range. Forecasters expect daytime highs in the upper 50s to low 60s Sunday, with a gradual warming trend early next week.
