Frigid Wind Chills Hit Eastern and Southern Arkansas Overnight

Little Rock, AR – A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from midnight to noon Fridayfor eastern, southeastern, and south-central Arkansas, with wind chills dropping as low as zero to five degrees.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock, dangerously cold conditions will impact areas including Pine Bluff, Stuttgart, Camden, and Monticello. Officials warn that hypothermia can occur quickly with prolonged exposure.

Residents are urged to wear layered clothing, cover exposed skin, and check on elderly neighborsPets should be brought indoors, and outdoor pipes should be insulated to prevent freezing.

Temperatures will gradually rise Friday afternoon, but cold conditions could persist through the weekend.
