State College, PA – Central Pennsylvania counties are under a freeze watch from late Monday night through 9 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service warns that temperatures could dip as low as 30 degrees.

According to the NWS, counties including Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, McKean, and Potter are most at risk for freezing conditions. The cold weather could harm crops, damage outdoor plumbing, and affect sensitive vegetation. Frost is expected to develop across the region, making it crucial for agricultural interests to take precautions.

Farmers and residents should bring potted plants indoors and insulate outdoor water systems. The freeze watch is in place until Tuesday morning as temperatures are forecasted to remain below freezing overnight.
