Hanford, CA – A freeze warning remains in effect across central California, with frost and dense fog expected through Wednesday morning. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28°F will pose risks to sensitive vegetation and unprotected outdoor plumbing.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread frost is anticipated overnight, with patchy dense fog developing before 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Clear skies during the day will bring a brief reprieve, but frost will return Wednesday night. Calm winds are expected throughout the period, with high temperatures reaching the low 60s and overnight lows dropping into the mid-30s.

Residents are urged to protect crops and plants from freezing conditions. Drivers should exercise caution during morning commutes as visibility may be reduced to a quarter-mile or less in fog-prone areas.

The freeze warning will remain in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday, impacting cities like Hanford, Visalia, Fresno, and surrounding communities in the San Joaquin Valley. Conditions are expected to improve Thursday as temperatures gradually warm.
