New York, NY – A freeze warning has been issued for portions of New Jersey, New York City, and Delaware, effective from midnight tonight until 9 AM Wednesday. Sub-freezing temperatures, ranging from the upper 20s to around 30°F, are expected to impact areas including Hudson, Eastern Essex, Eastern Union, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and parts of Queens in New York, as well as parts of northeast New Jersey and Delaware’s Kent and Sussex counties.

According to the National Weather Service, these low temperatures could threaten sensitive vegetation, particularly crops. Residents and farmers are urged to take protective steps, such as covering tender plants and securing outdoor plumbing to avoid damage.

The warning comes at a time when the region has already been experiencing fluctuating spring temperatures, and local officials are advising people to prepare for potential frost and freeze conditions that may last overnight.

Additionally, similar freeze warnings are in place for parts of Maryland, including Talbot and Caroline counties, where temperatures could dip as low as 28°F.
