Charleston, WV – A Freeze Warning remains in effect across parts of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky as temperatures are expected to dip as low as 24°F early this morning.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning will last until 10 AM EDT today, impacting areas including Charleston, Huntington, and surrounding counties. This cold snap poses a risk to crops and other sensitive vegetation, with potential damage to unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Additionally, a Freeze Watch has been issued for tonight through Wednesday morning, with temperatures expected to drop again to as low as 24°F. These cold conditions could extend into southern Ohio and northern West Virginia, including cities such as Parkersburg, Athens, and Gallipolis.
