Freeze Warning and Cold Advisory Issued for South Texas as Temperatures Drop Below Freezing Until 8AM Friday 

Brownsville, TX – A Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory are in effect for South Texas from 11 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday, with wind chills as low as 25°Fin areas including Zapata, Hebbronville, and Falfurrias.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Brownsville warns that crops, outdoor plumbing, and livestock could be at risk. Residents are advised to protect sensitive plants, wrap exposed pipes, and keep pets indoors.

Daytime temperatures will remain cold through Friday evening, with warming expected over the weekend.
