Free Youth Hockey Class Coming to Kankakee’s Ice Valley on November 2

Kankakee, IL – Kids aged 4 to 9 can try hockey for free at Ice Valley Centre Ice Arena on Saturday, November 2. The Kankakee Valley Park District, in partnership with USA Hockey, will host the event from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. as part of the nationwide “Try Hockey for Free Day” initiative.

According to the Kankakee Valley Park District, this annual event introduces kids to the sport without any cost or prior experience. Limited equipment is available to borrow, and coaches will be on hand to teach basic hockey skills. Boys and girls are both welcome, and no prior skating or hockey experience is required to participate.

Parents can pre-register their children online at www.icevalleycentre.com. The Ice Valley Centre Ice Arena is located at 1601 River Road in Kankakee. Participants should bring a hockey or bike helmet for safety.
