Franklin County, PA – Pennsylvania State Police have identified the woman accused of attempting to steal several grocery items from a Walmart in Guilford Township as Ann Leonard, according to a Friday update from PSP Tips.
According to investigators with PSP Troop H – Chambersburg, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on December 19, 2025, at the Walmart on 1730 Lincoln Way East. Police said the woman allegedly under-rang several grocery items at the self-checkout terminal before attempting to leave the store.
Walmart Loss Prevention staff reportedly stopped the suspect after her transaction was declined. The items were recovered, but officials said the woman refused to identify herself and left the store before police arrived.
Authorities initially released surveillance photos asking for the public’s help identifying the woman. PSP confirmed this week that Leonard has since been identified and charges have been filed in connection with the theft.
