Deputies said the case began on December 19, 2024, when Madison Township Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting near the 3000 block of Noe Bixby Road. Investigators determined that Hageman allegedly went to Hamilton’s residence to retrieve auto parts he believed Hamilton owed him. According to investigators, Hamilton allegedly jumped onto the running board of Hageman’s vehicle and struck him as Hageman attempted to leave. Hamilton was transported to a Columbus hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
