Frankfort, IL – Families in Frankfort can prepare for an evening of candy and costumes as official trick-or-treating hours have been set for Thursday, October 31, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., according to the Frankfort Police Department.
Police are reminding residents to keep safety in mind while celebrating Halloween. “Make sure to wear your best costume, bring your sweetest smiles, and stay safe while collecting those treats,” the department shared in a social media post.
Parents are encouraged to ensure children stay on sidewalks, watch for traffic, and remain visible to drivers. Officers will be patrolling neighborhoods throughout the evening to help ensure everyone enjoys a safe and fun Halloween night.
The department also invited families to look out for their “spooky squads” around the community and to share friendly waves with officers on patrol.
Halloween festivities in Frankfort are expected to draw families across Will County and the southwest Chicago suburbs, making it one of the busiest community nights of the fall season.
