Frankfort, IL Hosts Township Food Drive at Breidert Green on October 26

Frankfort, IL – The Frankfort Police Department is hosting a food drive on Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at Breidert Green. The event, part of a Trunk or Treat celebration, will collect essential items for the Frankfort Township Food Pantry.

The police are asking for donations of non-perishable goods and everyday necessities. According to the Frankfort Police Department, the most needed items include canned meats, salad dressing, plastic bags, granola bars, and paper towels. Donations of cleaning products, soup, razors, and taco kits are also requested.

Participants are encouraged to drop off donations while enjoying the festive atmosphere of Trunk or Treat. The event will include costumes and Halloween decorations, making it fun for the whole family. For those unable to attend, the Frankfort Township Food Pantry also accepts donations through its Amazon wishlist.

All donations will directly benefit the local food pantry, helping families in need across the community.
