According to the US National Weather Service, the weather on Sunday is expected to be breezy, with highs ranging from 66 to 74 degrees near Lake Michigan. Dangerous swimming conditions are anticipated at southern Lake Michigan beaches due to high waves and life-threatening currents. Beachgoers are advised to stay out of the water and avoid piers and breakwalls.
Monday will bring partly cloudy skies with temperatures between 70 and 77 degrees. The coolest conditions will be near the lake. By Tuesday, the weather will turn breezy again, with highs between 80 and 85 degrees. The best chance of thunderstorms will be north of I-80 in the morning.
Wednesday’s forecast indicates humid conditions with highs between 85 and 88 degrees. There is a 20-40% chance of storms, primarily south of I-80. The Fourth of July on Thursday could see temperatures ranging from 79 to 85 degrees, with a 30-50% chance of thunderstorms. These storms could potentially disrupt Independence Day celebrations.
Mild temperatures will persist through the week, with Friday’s forecast predicting highs between 68 and 72 degrees. The weekend will bring similar conditions, with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s.
