Fort Worth, TX – North and Central Texas are in for a notable cool-down this week as a cold front moves through the region Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. The front is expected to bring a 20–30% chance of light rain mainly near and east of Interstate 35 before much cooler air settles in midweek.
Forecast highs will shift dramatically from upper 70s to low 80s on Monday to the low-to-mid 60s by Wednesday across much of the area. Dallas–Fort Worth can expect highs around 63°F midweek, while Waco and Temple could see similar dips to near 66°F. Sherman and Denison are forecast to fall to around 60°F by Wednesday.
Lows will also trend sharply cooler, dropping into the 40s for most areas by mid-to-late week. The weather service notes that rain chances will remain limited, with most precipitation occurring Tuesday as the front pushes through.
Motorists should prepare for breezy conditions and the first noticeably cooler stretch of the fall season.
