Fort Worth, Texas – Weekend heat will grip much of North and Central Texas with isolated storms likely to return Saturday before clear, dry skies dominate Sunday. Heat indices could reach up to 104° across the region by late Sunday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Saturday will bring scattered afternoon storms primarily south of Waco, including Hearne and Killeen. Areas north of I-20, including DFW, Sherman, and Graham, are expected to remain dry but hot. Highs will range from 93° to 98°, with humidity pushing heat index values as high as 103°.
Sunday will be rain-free across all counties with widespread sunshine and hotter conditions. DFW will top out around 97°, with Waco and Palestine also reaching the mid to upper 90s. Central Texans should brace for heat indices up to 104°, prompting caution for outdoor activity.
