Fort Worth, Texas – A warming trend continues across North and Central Texas on Monday, with springlike temperatures returning ahead of increasing rain chances on Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, highs Monday will climb into the mid to upper 60s across much of the region, including Fort Worth, Dallas, Waco, and Denton. Sunshine and mild conditions will make Monday the warmest day so far this week for many locations.

Overnight Monday, temperatures will remain mild, with lows generally falling into the 40s and lower 50s. Roads are expected to remain dry through the night, with no travel impacts anticipated.

Rain chances return on Tuesday as a cold front moves through North Texas. Forecast guidance shows scattered showers developing mainly east of Interstate 35, with the highest rain chances focused across East Texas, including areas near Paris, Canton, and Palestine. Rain probabilities range from 20 to 40 percent farther west to 50 to 60 percent east of I-35.

Motorists traveling along Interstate 35, US-75, US-82, and US-79 may encounter wet roadways, particularly during the afternoon hours Tuesday. While most of the rain activity is expected to shift east by evening, a few isolated storms with lightning cannot be ruled out during the afternoon.

Temperatures on Tuesday will remain mild despite the rain, with highs still reaching the low to mid-60s in many locations. A slight cool-down is expected Wednesday behind the front, though temperatures will remain seasonable.

The National Weather Service notes that no severe weather is expected with Tuesday’s rain, and rainfall amounts should remain manageable.

Commuters, students, and outdoor workers may enjoy the warm conditions Monday but should plan for potential travel delays Tuesday, especially east of I-35.

Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts for more precise timing of Tuesday’s rain chances.
