Fort Worth, TX – North and Central Texas will stay warmer than normal on Wednesday, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the mid-60s before fog and pockets of drizzle develop later tonight.

According to the National Weather Service Fort Worth, most of the region will remain dry through the day, though light rain showers are possible across East and Central Texas. Cities including Canton, Palestine, Hearne, and Waco stand the best chance of picking up brief, light rainfall. High temperatures will range from 61° to 67°, including 65° in Dallas–Fort Worth, 66° in Waco, 67° in Killeen, and 61° in Paris.

Cloud cover increases through the evening, and forecasters expect moisture to pool near the surface, allowing fog and drizzle to develop overnight. By midnight, widespread fog is likely from the Red River to Central Texas, including Fort Worth, Dallas, Sherman, Graham, and Killeen. Overnight lows will hold in the mid-50s to around 60°, remaining well above seasonal averages.

While rainfall tonight will be minimal, drizzle may reduce visibility for late-night and early Thursday drivers. The National Weather Service advises motorists to slow down and use low-beam headlights when encountering dense fog pockets.

Temperatures remain mild through the end of the week, with no major storm systems expected in the immediate forecast. Light, occasional showers remain possible in eastern counties, but widespread rain remains unlikely.

Residents should plan for warm, humid conditions today and be prepared for areas of fog tonight, especially along major travel corridors.
