Fort Worth, TX – Warm and breezy weather will close out the work week across North Texas before a weekend cold front brings a chance for thunderstorms, according to the US National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

Highs on Thursday and Friday will remain in the mid to upper 80s, with southerly winds near 10 mph Thursday and gusts up to 25 mph Friday. The front is expected to move in late Saturday, bringing a 20–40% chance of showers and storms, particularly east of I-35.

According to the National Weather Service, a few storms could become strong or marginally severe over East Texas, producing gusty winds and brief heavy rain. Most activity is expected to develop during the evening and overnight hours rather than the afternoon.

Behind the front, Sunday will bring pleasant fall conditions with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Temperatures are forecast to rebound quickly by Monday, climbing back into the mid- to upper 80s.

Residents are encouraged to monitor weekend forecasts for any updates on storm timing and potential severity.
