A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday across much of Central Texas, with visibility occasionally dropping to a quarter-mile or less, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. Morning temperatures range from the mid-30s to low 40s in North Texas and the upper 40s to upper 50s in Central Texas due to lingering fog and cloud cover.

The Weather Service advised drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights and allow extra travel time as conditions may change abruptly. Fog is most widespread near Waco, Killeen and areas northwest of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.

A cold start is expected Sunday as breezy north winds arrive behind the departing system. According to forecast data shared by the Weather Service, wind chills will fall into the 20s and 30s for most locations early Sunday, with parts of North Texas experiencing values in the teens. The agency noted that winds of 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph, will gradually weaken through the afternoon and evening.

Slow warming is anticipated Sunday afternoon, with wind chills rising into the 30s and 40s. Forecast charts show Dallas–Fort Worth feeling like the low 20s around sunrise Sunday and climbing into the upper 30s by mid-afternoon. Areas such as Sherman, Bowie and Paris may remain in the 20s and low 30s for longer periods due to stronger morning winds.

Saturday’s temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid-60s across the Metroplex, with warmer readings near Hearne and Palestine where highs may reach the low 70s. A few isolated showers are possible near Hearne Saturday afternoon.
