Fort Worth, Texas – North Texans are enduring another round of triple-digit heat as a Heat Advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. Tuesday, with temperatures expected to reach 101°F and heat index values climbing as high as 108°F.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, calm winds and clear skies will dominate overnight into Tuesday morning before conditions shift midweek. Thunderstorm chances return Wednesday, beginning in the morning and continuing into the afternoon. While rain could bring brief relief, high humidity will keep heat index values elevated.

Areas across Tarrant, Dallas, and Denton counties should expect slow travel Wednesday afternoon as heavy downpours could reduce visibility. Outdoor workers and commuters are advised to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks during peak heating hours. Residents should also limit non-essential outdoor activity until the advisory expires Tuesday evening.

By Thursday, scattered showers remain possible, though temperatures will continue pushing into the upper 90s. Storm chances taper by the weekend, but hot and sunny conditions persist, keeping the risk of heat-related illness in place.

The National Weather Service advises North Texans to check back for updates as storm chances could increase again heading into late week.
