Fort Worth, TX – Families heading out for trick-or-treating across North and Central Texas can expect nearly perfect weather Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.
Forecasters say skies will stay clear and dry with light winds throughout the night. Temperatures will start in the upper 60s around 5 p.m., gradually cooling into the low 50s by 11 p.m.
Across the metro area, Dallas–Fort Worth will see readings near 69°F early, dropping to 57°F late, while Waco, Temple, and Killeen will hover between 70°F and 53°F. Further north, Sherman and Denison will see similar cooling, with Athens and Palestine ending the evening around 51°F.
The NWS called it “ghoulishly good weather for Friday evening,” noting no rain is in the forecast and sunset will occur between 6:26 and 6:45 p.m.
It’s a welcome change for Halloween in Texas, where past years have brought rain or gusty winds. This year, conditions will be ideal for trick-or-treating, football games, and outdoor events.
