Fort Wayne, IN – Residents across northern Indiana should prepare for a cold and frosty night as temperatures dip into the low- to mid-30s, according to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana.
A Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning are in effect from midnight to 11 a.m. Friday for portions of the region, including areas near Fort Wayne, Warsaw, and Van Wert. Lows are expected to reach around 30°F in many locations, with some spots potentially dropping slightly below freezing.
Lake-enhanced rain showers will taper off this evening, allowing skies to clear and winds to diminish — setting up ideal conditions for frost formation overnight. Residents are urged to protect sensitive plants or bring them indoors to prevent damage.
Friday will remain cool but dry, with highs in the low to mid-50s, followed by another chilly morning on Saturday before temperatures gradually moderate into the weekend.
