Fort Wayne, IN – The National Weather Service Northern Indiana says cool, breezy conditions will continue through Wednesday as scattered light rain showers move across the region. Gusty westerly winds up to 30 mph will make for a brisk and unsettled couple of days across northern Indiana and surrounding areas.
Forecasters expect showers to be most frequent north of U.S. 30, where periods of light rain will persist into Wednesday. Highs today will reach the mid- to upper 50s, while Wednesday’s highs cool to around 50 degrees. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 30s to low 40s.
According to the NWS, the breezy conditions will continue through midweek before easing Thursday, keeping temperatures below normal for late October. Drivers should anticipate slick roads and reduced visibility during heavier showers and be cautious in open areas where gusts may affect high-profile vehicles.
Drier weather is expected to return by late week as winds shift and skies gradually clear.
