The driver failed to stop and began circling the area while fleeing from officers. Around 6:08 a.m., the vehicle—traveling eastbound on East Fourth Street—turned northbound onto Spy Run Avenue and hit a pedestrian in the roadway.
Police say the suspect continued driving, sideswiped another vehicle, and eventually stopped in the 1400 block of Spy Run Avenue, where he allegedly threw a handgun into the grass and fled on foot. Witnesses helped officers locate him hiding behind a nearby home.
