Fort Wayne, IN – Showers and a few isolated thunderstorms will pass through Northern Indiana today before a sharp temperature drop midweek, according to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana.
Meteorologists report that highs today will reach between 65 and 75 degrees, with lows tonight in the upper 30s to mid-40s. Cooler, drier air moves in Wednesday, bringing highs in the low 60s and overnight lows falling into the 30s, creating favorable conditions for frost formation Wednesday and Thursday nights.
According to the Weather Service, “much cooler air arrives on Wednesday” and “areas of frost are likely.” The agency warns that residents should prepare to protect sensitive plants and outdoor vegetation from potential frost damage.
After the midweek chill, dry and calm weather is expected to persist into the weekend, offering a pleasant stretch for outdoor plans.
