Forsyth County, NC – A months-long investigation into suspected child exploitation tied to multiple CyberTipline reports led to the arrest of a Rockingham County man this week, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. The case, which began in July 2024, involved several agencies across central North Carolina and resulted in eight felony charges.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Invictus Task Force launched the investigation after receiving multiple cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During that review, investigators identified Chadwick Joel Branch as a suspect. Authorities say several search warrants were executed at internet service providers, residences, and businesses to confirm Branch as the individual allegedly involved.

On November 20, 2025, with assistance from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office and the Reidsville Police Department, officers took Branch into custody in Reidsville, NC. He was transported to the Rockingham County Detention Center, where he was arraigned on eight counts of felony second-degree exploitation of a minor. According to officials, Branch is being held on a $75,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Forsyth County District Court on December 8, 2025.

The Invictus Task Force is a joint initiative of Randolph, Alamance, Davidson, and Forsyth counties, collaborating with the State Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security to combat internet crimes against children, trafficking, and sexual exploitation.

Authorities say the investigation remains active, and anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office or the Invictus Task Force.
