Clemmons, North Carolina – A Winston-Salem man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Clemmons pharmacy and stealing dozens of medications Monday morning.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 7:24 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, to a reported break-in at a pharmacy located inside Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Urgent Care at 2311 Lewisville-Clemmons Road.

Investigators said more than 80 medications were taken during the break-in, which reportedly occurred around 3:50 a.m. Video surveillance from the facility, along with assistance from the FCSO Real Time Intelligence Center, helped identify the suspect. Authorities said the individual was known to deputies from previous incidents.

Shaaatin Smiley Stanley, 32, of Winston-Salem, was arrested and charged with eight counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering under North Carolina General Statute 14-72(B)(2), and one count of felony breaking or entering a pharmacy under N.C.G.S. 14-54.2.

Stanley is being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2026, in Courtroom 205 of the Forsyth County Courthouse.

The investigation remains ongoing.
