Eden Township, WI – A single-vehicle rollover crash in Fond du Lac County on Wednesday afternoon left an 11-year-old girl dead and three others injured, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 3:09 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2026, on County Highway V near Lime Road in the Town of Eden. Emergency crews responded after receiving reports of a one-vehicle crash involving a minivan carrying four occupants.
Investigators said the driver, a 29-year-old Fond du Lac man, suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital. An 8-year-old boy from Fond du Lac and a 15-year-old girl from Campbellsport also sustained minor injuries and were taken to the same hospital.
An 11-year-old girl from North Fond du Lac was flown by ThedaStar Air Medical Helicopter to Children’s Wisconsin Hospital in Milwaukee. Authorities said she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
According to the sheriff’s office, the preliminary investigation indicates the northbound minivan lost control on County Highway V, crossed the centerline, entered the west ditch, struck an embankment, became airborne, and overturned several times before coming to rest in the ditch.
County Highway V was closed between County Highway K and County Highway B for approximately five hours while emergency crews worked at the scene and investigators documented the crash.
The sheriff’s office said the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
