Omaha, NE – Nebraskans should prepare for a significant change in weather patterns this week as temperatures are expected to rise significantly. The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley reports that after a foggy start, spotty rain chances will persist through Tuesday. By the middle of the week, dry and warmer conditions will prevail, with highs reaching into the 90s by the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s highs will range from 75 to 81 degrees with hazy conditions and isolated storms. Tonight, temperatures will drop to between 60 and 65 degrees with partly cloudy skies and fog developing late.
Monday will see highs between 80 and 86 degrees with isolated storms possible, and lows of 60 to 65 degrees. Tuesday will bring similar temperatures, ranging from 83 to 88 degrees, with a 20% chance of isolated storms.
By Wednesday, the weather will clear up, and sunny skies will dominate with highs between 84 and 89 degrees. This sunny and warm trend will continue through Thursday and Friday, with temperatures peaking at 85 to 93 degrees.
The weekend forecast calls for even hotter conditions, with highs reaching 95 degrees on Saturday. Sunday and Monday will see the heat continuing, with highs of 94 and 96 degrees, respectively, under sunny and breezy conditions. Nebraskans are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat.
