Tampa, FL – Residents across Tampa Bay can look forward to a dramatic warm-up as Thanksgiving week brings sunny skies and climbing temperatures. After the season’s coolest stretch, daytime highs will steadily rise, with near 80-degree temperatures expected by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will kick off the warm-up with a high near 74 degrees under sunny skies. Overnight lows, however, will remain brisk, dipping to around 54 degrees. Monday’s temperatures will climb further, reaching 78 degrees, while Tuesday and Wednesday will see highs near 79 and 80 degrees, respectively. Thanksgiving Day itself promises a high of 81 degrees, ideal for outdoor gatherings or travel.
Roadways like I-275 and the Courtney Campbell Causeway should remain clear under bright skies throughout the week, making it easier for holiday travelers. Officials urge drivers to stay alert during early mornings, as lingering cool temperatures could affect visibility in some areas.
For those planning outdoor festivities, the forecast presents perfect conditions for picnics, parades, or sports. However, residents should monitor changing winds midweek, which could bring gusts near 10 mph. Morning commutes remain brisk with temperatures in the 40s, so jackets are advised.
As Tampa Bay transitions to holiday mode, the region’s warming trend is expected to persist, with no rain currently in the forecast.
