Tampa Bay, FL – Dense morning fog and a dip in temperatures are expected to impact the Tampa Bay area on Wednesday, bringing visibility concerns for early commuters. The National Weather Service (NWS) cautions that the Nature Coast and parts of interior Florida could experience patchy fog on Wednesday morning, reducing visibility in some areas. Motorists should use caution on roadways and be prepared for slower travel, especially along routes like I-75 and U.S. 19.
According to the NWS, Tuesday night will bring mostly clear skies with low temperatures hovering around 71 degrees. Calm conditions and light winds from the northeast are expected to create ideal conditions for fog development. The fog is expected to dissipate by mid-morning Wednesday, but drivers should remain vigilant until it clears.
Looking ahead, Wednesday’s forecast indicates sunny skies with a high near 85 degrees. Winds will increase slightly, reaching 8 to 14 mph, with gusts up to 22 mph, helping disperse lingering fog by late morning. By Wednesday night, mostly cloudy skies will bring lows around 67 degrees.
The week will continue with a slight cooling trend as Thursday brings mostly sunny skies and highs near 84 degrees. Nights will be cooler, dipping to around 66. By Friday, the region can expect clear skies and a high of 81 degrees, followed by a low of 58 in the evening. Sunny, mild conditions will persist into the weekend with highs around 79 degrees on Saturday and 80 on Sunday.
Residents are encouraged to drive carefully during foggy conditions, monitor weather updates, and enjoy the slightly cooler temperatures arriving in the area.
