Epping, NH – A fatal motor vehicle crash early Friday on Route 101 West claimed the life of a Florida woman. The accident occurred around 1:55 a.m. near the Martin Road overpass in Epping, New Hampshire. State Troopers responded to the scene and found a heavily damaged 2015 Nissan Rogue with a single occupant, 70-year-old Patricia Strohman of The Villages, Florida, entrapped inside.

Preliminary findings indicate that Strohman lost control of her vehicle while traveling westbound. The Nissan veered off the highway, continued along a grassy embankment, and struck a cement bridge abutment. Strohman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers closed all lanes of Route 101 West for over three hours to investigate. Traffic was diverted off Exit 7 until the scene was cleared at 5:35 a.m. Multiple agencies, including local police and fire departments, assisted at the site.

The crash remains under investigation. Trooper Clark Brighton of the New Hampshire State Police is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information to contact him.
