According to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, there’s a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon with a high near 93°F and a heat index reaching 100°F. Winds will shift southeast at 5 to 7 mph by the afternoon, adding to the muggy conditions. Rainfall totals will generally remain below a half inch, but isolated downpours may be heavier in thunderstorms.

Saturday and Sunday will follow a similar pattern, with storms possible after 2 p.m. each day and continued highs in the low 90s. The chance of precipitation rises to 80% on both days. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat, and monitor for rapidly changing conditions.
