Miami, Florida – Sunshine dominates South Florida today, with afternoon highs climbing into the upper 80s across much of the region. Cities like Miami and Naples are expected to top out at 87°F under clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service in Miami, tranquil and dry conditions will continue throughout Wednesday. Temperatures will peak between 85°F and 87°F in major metro areas including Fort Lauderdale (85°F) and West Palm Beach (86°F).
While today’s warmth is seasonal for mid-May, the combination of sunshine and light winds could lead to increased UV exposure and mild dehydration risks. Residents spending time outdoors are encouraged to wear sunscreen, drink water regularly, and avoid prolonged activity during peak heating hours between 1 and 4 p.m.
No rain or severe weather is expected today, offering ideal conditions for travel and outdoor plans. Similar weather will likely continue into Thursday, though updates from the NWS could follow if humidity or heat index values rise later this week.
